Expo Hotel Barcelona
1976
Mr. Antonio Mestre founded Expo Hotels with the inauguration of the group's first hotel in Barcelona, Expo Hotel Barcelona with 423 rooms.
Urban hotel in Valencia
1984
The chain begins its expansion with the opening of a new urban hotel with 378 rooms, this time in the New Center of Valencia.
Mediterranean Palace
1988
The group opens the doors of the first five-star hotel in the south of Tenerife: the Mediterranean Palace Hotel, located on the renowned Las Américas beach, which has now become the main commercial and leisure area of the island.
Sir Anthony
1989
The exclusive Sir Anthony boutique hotel with 72 sophisticated rooms is being built next to Mediterranean Palace. A new 5-star hotel added to the Mare Nostrum Resort complex.
Cleopatra Palace
1996
The group continues to grow in the Canary Islands with the construction of the Cleopatra Palace Hotel, also integrated into the large Mare Nostrum Resort complex. A new building of Greco-Roman inspiration with 431 rooms and a large wellness area.
The Pyramid of Arona joins the Mare Nostrum Resort, an impressive building with one of the largest private auditoriums in Europe, a huge hall with 1,874 seats, a 320 m2 stage, 1,295 m of exhibition area and 18 meeting rooms.
Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel
2003
The chain acquires the renowned Princesa Sofía Gran Hotel in Barcelona, the city's leading 5-star hotel.
Torre Catalunya
2004
The chain increases its presence in Barcelona with the inauguration of the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya located next to Sants Station. A 23-story tower with 272 rooms with the Visual Restaurant, located on the top floor, with incredible panoramic views. In addition, the hotel has an auditorium with capacity for 100 attendees and different modular rooms for organizing events.
Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa
2006
The chain acquires the exclusive Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa in Marbella with which the company positions itself as a benchmark in the management of high-end services in the area.
Expo Hotels begins to manage the exclusive Nikki Beach in Marbella, a mandatory stop for international celebrities and select clients.
